This 4 week course will cover the basics:
– how to thread the machine, how to fix minor issues,
– what tools and materials you will need (pins, threads, needles, chalk, rulers etc),
– how to choose the right fabric for your project and more.
October 4th, Week 1
Threading the machine, basic stitches and troubleshooting.
Project – reversible coaster.
October 11th, Week 2
Know your fabric – how to define the fiber, how to prepare for sewing.
Project – 3 kinds of hems.
October 18th, Week 3
Pressing and cutting. Measuring.
Project – purse with a zipper.
October 25th, Week 4
Working with patterns. Various stitches.
Project – sleeping mask with elastic band.
No experience necessary, suitable for ages 12+
You will need to bring your sewing machine with a manual (if possible), an extension cord (2-3 m long), and your sewing box (scissors, threads, needles, measuring tape, fabric marker, or chalk). Other tools and materials we will discuss during the first class.
You can book 1-2-3 classes separately at the price of $60 per class.

Please register in advance to book your spot. Class fees will not be refunded if we are notified less than 7 days before the class is scheduled to start. Refunds will not be provided for no-shows. If you will miss a class, you will receive a pdf file or video link with the class materials to review at home.
Classes are subject to cancellation if a minimum is not met. In this case, class fees will be fully refunded.
